Miralem Pjanic was born in Tuzla, SFR Yugoslavia, on April 2, 1990. He is the second of two sons born to his parents Fahrudin Pjanić and Fatima Pjanić. Pjanic began his professional senior career at Metz, having come through the club’s youth ranks. He later moved to Lyon in 2008, having played for the club for one season.
Miralem Pjanic kept improving in his football skills and soon became outstanding for the French side. After three seasons at Lyon, Roman signed him in 2011. It was at Roma that Pjanic become widely recognized as one of the best midfielders in Serie A. He became integral to the club as he helped them to title contenders. He made a total of 159 appearances for the club before sealing a move away to Juventus in 2016, where became pivotal and an integral part of the midfield trio.
